OPEN INVITATION TO STAKEHOLDERS – EU BSSP – STAKEHOLDER ROUNDTABLE AT EXPO MILAN ON 9 SEPTEMBER 2015

 

 

We would like to introduce the work of the EU Beet Sugar Sustainability Partnership. Formed in 2013 as a coalition between EU beet growers (represented by CIBE), sugar producers (CEFS) and trade unions in the food and agriculture sectors (EFFAT), the Partnership exists to demonstrate sustainability throughout the beet sugar industry in the region.

CIBE CONGRESS 2015 - BERLIN - PRESS RELEASE

 

The Congress hosted contributions from numerous Guests from the European Union Institutions, Research Institutes along with the latest news and insights from CIBE Members. 

 

 
In October 2013, the  European Beet Growers  (CIBE), sugar producers  (CEFS)  and trade unions  of the  food and  agriculture  sector  (EFFAT)  have  formalised  a  landmark  agreement  to  jointly  highlight and report on  representative  Good Practices of  sustainable production of beet sugar in the EU.

CIBE takes part in the AgroCycle project, a Sino-EU collaborative research venture, funded by the European Commission under its Horizon 2020 programme to create a protocol for the implementation of the 'circular economy' across the agri-food sector.

BEET EUROPE / BETTERAVENIR 2016: MOYVILLERS, OISE REGION (FRANCE)

The small town of Moyvillers, in the Oise, was, for two days, on the 26th and 27th of October 2016, the capital of the sugar beet industry thanks to Betteravenir 2016, the European sugar beet field exhibition organized by the French Sugar beet Institute (ITB) and the Royal Belgium Institute for Sugar beet (IRBAB).

ECONOMIC AND POLICY ADVISOR

 

Under the supervision and coordination of the Director, the Economic and Policy Advisor will:

 

- Conduct analysis of some agricultural product markets and related EU trade policies;

 

- Monitor the development of EU trade policies;

 

- Monitor the development of EU trade policy developements of these products;

 

- Develop and supports advocay positions and strategies in relation with the Director and Members of the Associaton;

 

- Represent the interest of the association towards the EU institutions (EU Council, European Parliament, European Commission);

 

- Liaise with members, preparing and developing working papers for meetings.
